Raffaele is now leading and supporting as R&D Executive a few companies and entrepreneurship initiatives.

Emanuele Carpanzano
IDA Scientific Committee and DSA Vice President & Co- Founder
Emanuele Carpanzano is Director of Research, Development and Knowledge Transfer at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland. He managed numerous R&D initiatives at international, national and regional level, as well as industrial research and knowledge transfer projects. He is active in different federal and international associations and institutions dedicated to education, research and innovation programs and initiatives.

Angel A. Juan
IDA Scientific Committee and DSA Lab Director & Co-Founder
Angel A. Juan is a full professor in the dept. of Applied Statistics and Operations research at the Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain), as well as invited professor at University College Dublin and Universidade Aberta (Portugal). Dr. Juan holds a PH.D. in Industrial Engineering and an M.SC. in Mathematics. He completed a predoctoral internship at Harvard University and postdoctoral internships at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Giovanni Righini
IDA Scientific Committee and DSA Scientific & Ethic Committee Director & Co-Founder
Giovanni Righini is a full professor of Operations Research at the University of Milan, Department of Computer Science, where he founded the Operations Research Laboratory Optlab in 1998. He holds a PH.D. In Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Milan. He managed several applied research projects, mainly in logistics and health care. He is also active in educational initiatives related to math teaching in schools.

Raffaele Cerulli
IDA Scientific Committee and DSA Board Memeber & Co-Founder
Raffaele Cerulli is a full professor of Operations Research in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Salerno. Raffaele covers the position of Director of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Salerno and is a member of the scientific committee of UMI (Italian Mathematical Union). Raffaele is also a Board Member of the Italian Association for Operations Research (AIRO), covering the role of President of AIRO since January 2024.

Michela Manini Mondia
IDA Associate Editor and Digital Transformation Enabler at SUPSI DTI
Michela Manini Mondia holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and is an agile expert with over ten years of experience in digital transformation, helping companies innovate through collaboration, adaptive leadership and agile processes. She focuses on observing and enabling new skills emerging from multidimensional systems and on creating lean processes to foster continuous organizational improvement.
She has acquired several agile certifications and methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Safe, and has participated in Toyota Academy sessions on manufacturing process optimization.
She currently serves as a lecturer and program lead at SUPSI, Department of Innovative Technologies, for the Certificate of Advanced Studies “AI powered Adaptive Organizations”.

Luciano Floridi is an Italian-born British philosopher and one of the leading voices in contemporary philosophy. Professor of Philosophy and Ethics of Information at the Oxford Internet Institute (Oxford University), he also directs the Digital Ethics Lab and chairs the Data Ethics Group at The Alan Turing Institute. His work focuses on how digital technologies transform human life and decision-making, introducing key concepts such as infosphere, onlife, and hyperhistory. Through these, he redefines our understanding of the digital present and builds an ethical framework for AI based on individual and collective responsibility.

Enrico Dessì

Enrico Dessì is an innovation and digital transformation specialist with extensive experience in the luxury, automotive and manufacturing sectors. Currently Open Innovation Luxury Lab Advisor at Limitless Innovation (Milan), he previously served as Innovation & Digital Transformation Manager at Giorgio Armani, and held several roles at OTB Group, including Culture Change Ambassador and Digital Transformation Program Lead. Earlier in his career he spent ten years at Ferrari (F1 Racing Team) and Advantage Srl as a senior PLM and digital transformation consultant. Enrico is focused on driving innovation, product lifecycle excellence and new ways of working across complex organisations.
